Arrival
After we arrived in America, our living arrangements varied. Some of us were accepted as foster children by concerned families organized by the rescue agencies. Some, who had come under private arrangements, stayed with relatives in the USA. Others stayed in small year-round boarding schools under the responsibility of a rescue agency, or in a private arrangement made by a relative or other adult. And some stayed in other institutions, or in orphanages, which now also housed non-orphans.
